Ever since I saw the Return of the King, I had wanted someone to make on of the large Oliphants. I looked in the Extended Two Towers DVD for reference. I was surprised to find that, unlike most elephants, these had quite small ears that almost looked shredded. This model was folded from 10" American foil.

The tusks were going to have to be box-pleated if I was to achieve the horizontal texture pleats on the trunk. (The texture pleats are not all shown. I will have to update that in the crease pattern.) The hind quarters are very Montroll-esque in the seperation of the appendages.
